Wednesday's child

Wednesday, March 04, 2020

I was born on a Wednesday, and always thought that us Wednesday's children got the short end of the stick in that poem. "Wednesday's child is full of woe" - well isn't that encouraging.

Optimism is something I struggle with quite a bit - my mind goes all too often to the worst case scenario. One thing that helps a great deal is keeping a sense of gratitude - even in the most difficult situations, there's always something to be grateful for. Or, as it's put in this quote from one of my favorite movies: "could be worse - could be raining!"

I really can relate to struggling with optimism right now and, I, too try and use gratitude as a life preserver. Usually I'm more on the positive end of the spectrum. The thing I don't like the most is feeling unmotivated. Been trying to be consistent with the gym and remembering everything I have to be thankful for.

And, it usually is raining here in the PNW. emoticon

Moved up here from the Bay Area 20+ years ago. Sure do miss my sunny California weather!!

Take care and hope you have a great day!
