Random Pandemic Thoughts

Friday, March 27, 2020

Trying to implement every single good sounding recommendation for killing the virus would be crazy making. But ya gotta do what you can.

By the time I realized that I needed sterilizing wipes I was also hearing that they were all sold out everywhere. Oh well. Same thing for hand sanitizer. (Since then I did manage to get some from our local Target.)

Even introverted me is starting to get a little bit of cabin fever, but only a little bit.

Pandemics are not good for weight maintenance.

I knew that humans can be a pretty irrational lot, but reading people's posts and comments online about this pandemic is really putting it in my face.

I never realized before how much I "need" to scratch my face.

I am so lucky to be in a good marriage and to have two sweet, affectionate kitties at home. I feel for anyone going through this solo. No wonder many are not heeding social distancing guidelines.

Why have I been so lucky not to have experienced anything like this (a local war, famine, flood, earthquake, pandemic, etc.) until now at the age of 59?

If I'm being honest, I find much of this experience both exciting and interesting so far. I'm probably numb to the reality of people dying. Gosh, I hope my words will not hurt anyone who is suffering personal loss and grief from this pandemic! It could be me and my loved ones next.

    Good thoughts!
I especially resonated with the two--good thing I have good marriage & 2 pets as well as, lucky to not have experienced this in our lifetime.
    Very good reminders.
