There is a convoy of forklifts hauling luggage trolleys. The gangway is in place and we see the Aussies and Kiwis leaving. We expect to get a phone call when there is a flight for us. That is the time we will go through U.S. Customs and Immigration.
I am removing a section of this blog till I get home.
I understand there are people who consider us idiots for cruising, but seriously we were unaware of any dangers when we started out. Some assume the government is paying for our flights home. Fact - Princess Cruises is booking our flights and paying them. Thank you Princess. In our attempts to get home, when we thought we might be able to dock and go to the airport, 4 times we booked non-refundable Air Canada flights. We paid for those flights personally. The government of Canada does provide repayable loans of up to $5,000 for stranded travelers in need but we did not need it.

Alan is serenading me with the ukulele, the instrument he took up on the cruise. Soon it will be time to play cards.
