Get up and go habits can set the tone and maintain momentum for energy as well as an uplifted mood.
Here are some morning rituals to add to your wake-up routine:
• Opening the curtains when you first wake kicks your circadian rhythm into gear and signals your brain it’s time to be alert.
• Down a glass of water. Wake up your mind and body by drinking a glass of water when you first get up. Add lemon juice, cayenne, and chia seeds as a digestive stimulant.
• Eat a nutritious, filling meal. Complex carbohydrates, fiber, and protein like oatmeal or greek yogurt topped with fresh fruit, or a hard-boiled egg with whole-grain toast, are tasty ideas.
A good start can make any day better and brighter.
