I Chose Me & Not Junk Food

These last five pounds were a STRUGGLE!.
I can not begin to count the times I've had to keep myself from grabbing the wrong things to eat, knowing the damage it would do to my blood pressure (gone from 140s/90s to 117/74), triglycerides, cholesterol, arteries, joints, and all the work I put into myself PLUS having to deal with the mental and emotional anguish of 'blowing it' again.
Sadly my environment is not set up for success. DH is always bringing home candy, chips, cake, donuts, cookies, roasted macadamia nuts and chocolates. That means I have to be on my "game plan" to ALWAYS have healthy meals and sides ready to heat and eat and fresh fruit in plain view on the counter or in the fridge, plus green tea and fresh lemon water to stay hydrated.
Fortunately, the work's paying off. Today I'm thirty pounds lighter (180 lbs), and five inches smaller around my waist and another 5 inches smaller around my hips since Dec 28th. If you should hear a far off sounding squeal OF HAPPINESS within a week or so, it just might be me when I see the 170s again.
Stay strong, stay safe and have a great day. We're SO WORTH IT!!.
