Gee, as if I needed anything else to bring me down, tomorrow would be First Holy Communion for my kids tomorrow. I got a call from one of them today asking if there were still going to make it sometime. I assured them that we will still do it as soon as the church is opened back up. I decided to send them all an email, assuring them that we still 'have a date at the table, the table of the Lord.' I have a brother and a sister in my class that the replied back that they are still practicing their song the class was going to do "This Little Light of Mine" I have a neat version of it that is interactive and they love it. Spent three hours outside today cutting grass. It was so long, I had to cut it at the highest height I could and then go over it at 3 inches. Was quite some work. Wouldn't have been so bad had I not fallen down the three steps to the yard. So it has been a fun day. Oh and by the way, our a/c decided that 19 years was all it was gonna work, so it was 89 degree with no a/c. Utilizing ceiling fans and an oscillating fan, and we are surviving. Good reason to make strawberry shortcake for a dessert tonight. Not working tomorrow, it will be a complete day of rest!
Brad is doing great, they got the house they went for and are spending time packing and that as they can move in June 14. Glad that they have a month to sort through, get rid of stuff they don't need. Or as he says, we have 5 bedrooms in this house and so anything we don't unpack will be in bedroom #5! His treatments are being done locally at his hospital so he doesn't even have to travel to St. Louis. I am sure when the virus is settled in NY he will go back there. I am so glad that Sloan Ketterling is cooperating with St. Lukes.

Your missing in action friend,
Bob

Good to read that Brad is doing great. They are moving? That must be a job and a half by it's self. I take it that it's a larger house. More room for the kids? Is it closer for his work?

Sorry to read about your fall, I'm sure that didn't help your knees one bit. Any word on maybe they will do the surgery? My cataract surgery was canceled due to the virus, and now they are just starting to elevate what order they are going to do surgeries again. My eyesight is not that bad anymore, since my reading cataract eye was corrected and doing fine. It's great to be able to read without blurring anymore, and I read now without glasses which is great for me. I actually have to get new glasses once this is all over.

How's the rest of the family? Margaret and your son Chris? Does Margaret still have to go into work?

Bet you are enjoying that you can work from home as I'm sure that there is still a need for your support.

Well take care and stay safe. Also how's the pups? Doing ok I imagine.

It is good to hear from you, Bob. I'm sorry you fell down those 3 steps and your a/c died on top of things. It wasn't such a great day for you, but those little ones sure helped make up for the bad. That is great news about Brad and I'm so happy that he is getting his treatment at a local hospital. The Lord is watching out for all of you.

Well Bob, it was nice to here from you. This virus has disrupted and lot of things, I feel for the senor classmen that have worked 13 years to there graduation, prom, sports, and such and can't even celebrate it was their family, friends as no parties. I heard one gal say, it like all those years and studying was for nothing, as she doesn't even know if their will be college this fall, and with all the businesses that these kids usually work at are all closed and they can't even earn any money toward college. These are the one's I feel for.
