Dang scales!!!!!!

Monday, May 11, 2020

Got up looking forward to weighing, until I got on them. Up .6 of a pound. I have got on them seen them go up 3 or 4 pounds and took it better then this weight gain. I had done everything right and expected at least 2 pounds, but nooooooo!
I said why bother you just as well eat what you want instead of what your body needs to be healthy. But I took a few minutes and said no you need to work at it as if you had lost 2 lbs.
I'm trying to teach myself how to deal with this weight problem instead of it controlling me. I just can't give up again.

I know the feeling, it is also about salty food binds water in the body, or pain meds ‘make you heavier’, or even mal functioning colon... You did the challenge this was brilliant!

You are doing great. I hate/love the scale and have a very unhealthy relationship with it emoticon . I weigh every day, and let it tell me if I feel good about myself or not that day. We can do this Sandra.....I'm encouraged by all your progress thus far!!!

You are not alone in this journey. Look for other ways to give yourself credit for your hard work...measurements, condition of skin, clothing looser, breathing easier! Do NOT focus on that scale!

Oh Ruth I am so sorry hearing you are struggling - I have been doing the same thing - gained back some of the weight that I lost. But I know I can do it as I did it last November - December - so am working on getting back on track. Would love to hear from you - please email me - am thinking of you

I have the same feelings. Excited to step on, expecting to see a loss, and feeling deflated when the number isn't what I wanted. Consistency and persistence will pay off.

I have been having a similar experience. I step on the scale expecting a loss and knowing that will motivate me even more, but it's like it's stuck on the same point. It's been excruciating, but each day I've done like you and talked myself down. That's why I decided to come here again. Just tracking the carbs and calories helps me know that the weight will drop if I keep to my goals.
Good luck on your journey emoticon
