Day #31 on Intermittent Fasting
Friday, May 15, 2020
Morning Sparkers,
I'm currently on Day #31 of Intermittent Fasting and I am proud to say that I've lost 8 pounds. I have been focusing on fasting 20 hours and eating for 4 hours daily. My goal is to eat One Meal a Day because I definitely can't overeat, if I commit to only eating one big meal.
Positives:
*Created positive habits to better myself
*Started to prep meals again to make sure that I'm staying on track.
*Log every single bite into my Fitbit.
*I eat from 1pm to 5pm or some days One Big Meal a Day.
*Trained body to only eat 2 meals a day.
*Must eat between 1200-1500
*I drink 1 gallon/16 cups of water daily
*Really hard to over eat since all I'm having are 2 meals daily.
*I have been strict except for 2 days out of the 31
*Not as many aches & pains
*I have more energy because I'm naturally eating healthier
*Haven't had fast food since I started
*Helps to get rid of the temptation to want to eat junk. They say it takes 21 days to change a bad habit.
*More Mobility & Flexibility
Challenges:
*Having to train my body to accept this new lifestyle. It definitely doesn't come easy, but it's so extremely worth it.
*2 days I snacked way too much
*I normally slip up when I haven't eaten enough throughout the day. I need to develop more self control.
*This journey is a mind game and I have to fight the many temptations
You can tell that my body is really enjoying intermittent fasting and has adjusted very quickly to my new life style. I watch many videos on YouTube to get ideas and for motivation. I hold myself accountable by adding everything I eat into my Fitbit tracker. It's pretty much my weight loss bible because it tracks my calories in verses calories out. I definitely need to eating more vegetable and less carbs on a regular basis. I don't want to completely cut out carbs because I know I can't do that for the rest of my life. I need to keep reminding myself that this is not a race, but a lifestyle change. I don't want to lose more than 2-3 pounds a week because that's healthy weight loss.
The days that I mess up, I am learning to not be hard on myself. I'm definitely a work in progress and this journey is not easy. One day at a time will get me to my goal. I can do this!
Does anyone else Intermittent Fast?
