Preparing for More Demo!

Saturday, May 23, 2020

We actually had a morning that did not require an alarm set for anyone and it was so nice to just allow ourselves to sleep. After I woke up this has been my day:

emoticon updated finances
emoticon kitchen cardio - had to empty and relocate items

The kitchen cardio was my part of the next demo project that will be happening so that Tim and Tayler can lay down the tile floor tomorrow. This wall will be partially be removed:

The wall section being removed will line up with the lower cabinets so the upper cabinets all had to be emptied.

I unloaded another double cabinet on the other side of the stove top and then filled it with the everyday dishes, china and some baking dishes. Everything else went to one of the pantry areas.

While I was doing that Tim had gone out to get a second-hand cabinet just to give us a little more counter space and another cabinet. That gray may need a paint job soon, but for now, it works.

So tonight I am expecting noise as the wall comes down. How peaceful for an early evening siesta!

Our house won't be quiet later this evening as Kim will be spending the night. She's in town for a couple of days (from California) so they are off having fun shopping and eating right now. I'm sure we're looking at a true beauty school sleepover. Nails, hair, laughter.... Tomorrow I heard she might be doing her practicals for JC Penney salon and might need me to be there for the segment of doing highlights. Depends on if it is scheduled and whether Kim wants to or can go instead.

Isaac is going to spend time with Tayler (mentoring Isaac a bit) by going for a drive tonight. To say my guy is just a tiny bit excited is an understatement. LOL

Tomorrow will be worship, bbq hamburgers (no buns) and steamed asparagus for lunch and then the demo and floor work continue. I may need to dig out the noise blocking headphones!
