Another 5k for the books!

My fitness goal for June was to complete a 5k. I accomplished this goal on June 5th, much earlier than I intended. My profile pic was taken the day I completed it, and I was so proud! My time that day was 56 min, 49 sec. Since I still had a lot of June left (lol), I adjusted my June goal to complete another 5k by the end of the month, and beat the time from my first one. Sunday, I participated in Head For the Cure 5k, an organization which funds research for brain cancer. It was held in FL, but I was able to participate virtually. And yes, I beat my previous time... by 6 min! I was elated! I've posted my time from my phone's health app. I don't know if I will continue these long walks during the heat of our Carolina summers. But time will tell. If you haven't tried one, but walk regularly, I encourage you to try. It's really satisfying to know you can accomplish a fitness goal. And the training for it pays off in a big way! Have a great Sparkly day!
