It has been a year to the day. Sad day, but bittersweet to see the 3 jets and 3 helicopters fly over the house this morning. Joe would have loved it. The movers came yesterday, Glad all the packing is behind me. Still waiting on a concrete settlement date. It was suppose to be Monday but a snafu has occurred with the buyer's loan. My kind of luck.
My daughter was here helping to finish the packing and watch the movers. Now that would be another blog but I don't have it in me!! It was hard for her since she and Joe were so close. Lots of tears. He took the Stepdad role to heart and helped fill the void left by my children's father who passed when they were young. We went to his fishing place last night and she collected some things to make a remembrance box. We put some of his ashes there last year.
Once things are final here I will move in with her and her husband and start house hunting. I don't want to be there too long because her place is small and has lots of steep steps. I might have to get a short term rental. With the virus no one else in the family is comfortable with me staying. I don't look forward to finding a new place exactly because prices in Maryland are way more than WV. Looking at condos, single level homes or senior communities. Right now I am 4 hours from her, so I would like to be a lot closer. My son lives in Texas, but that is a little too far for me

. Plus he has the type of job that could move around a lot.
I had a cortisone injection today in my right hip today. MRI showed extensive and marked inflammation in the bursa of the right hip and 'just' moderate in the left. The radiologist suggested doing both but my doctor only ordered for the right which is the worst one. I limp and am in constant pain. Hoping this does help. I was feeling fantastic right after and then realized it was the lidocain numbing shot that felt good. The doctor said to give it a few days for the medicine to work its way to where it needs to be.
The house is very quiet, TV is cancelled. I still have mobile data so I can stop to say hi when it is working

. I am leaving the sofa so I will have a place to sleep, also a tray table and a fold up lawn chair. Next few days I will clean and get the rest of the things together for Goodwill and our church yard sale.
To say I am exhausted is an understatement. I think the iron pills might be helping with the anemia but the stress has been over the top. Tonight I will listen to a nice meditation cd on my tablet and hopefully get a restful sleep.
On to a new chapter soon. Location to be determined.
ps, connection here has been bad so I might not be on but I want you to know I appreciate all my Sparkfriends more than you will ever know!
