New Day ...New goals..Moving forward with hope and determination

I woke up in a much better frame of mind this morning. Last night I planned out my day, set my goals, packed my lunch, and planned my meals.

I got up earlier this morning and danced for 22 minutes. I'm starting slowly as I have been a couch potato for far too long. My goal is a dedicated 10 minutes of exercise a day. I treated myself and bought an Apple watch last week and while I am still figuring it out, I'm glad I bought it. It motivates me. At work, I love the reminder to stand and move about as I can (and do) sit for hours at a time without moving. I need to move more at home as well and have decided to walk in place while I watch TV for a few minutes at a time. Dancing is still my preferred exercise and as I get to meet my goals, I'll add strength training as well.

I have the "Calm" app now and absolutely love it. Almost every morning I use it to meditate and while at work I keep the "Rain on leaves" open on my iPod as background. It relaxes and soothes me, giving me something to focus on when I get stressed out.

I am going to call and try to make an appointment with a new doctor. I am also looking forward so much to Labor Day weekend. I am taking the Thursday and Friday before the weekend off for a much-needed mini-vacation.

Baby Steps and a healthier frame of mind...Here's to a better day!
