Feel like jumping up & down

Sunday, September 13, 2020

I got all the borders on the raffle quilt. It has really felt like a very long struggle to get this quilt finished. With all the other things getting in the way of working on it and my own reservations about my ability to even make it...well it is not ready to go off and have the long arm person quilt it. Then it will come back to me to get a binding on it.

My worst horror arrived today to top it all off. For a few minutes I almost just felt like I couldn't handle any more 2020 junk thrown my way. Those dang beetles that smell so bad when you smash them and seem to stick on every ceiling in the house have returned. i went to let Buck out and the door was covered with them. The whole area got covered with Raid and after a nap I decided this I can do too. All of my ceiling will need washing after the first really hard frost because I'll have sprayed them to get the bugs off.

Enjoyed my spam sandwich for dinner tonight but I am getting tired of eggs in any form. I also never got around to baking. Maybe tomorrow.

Thank fulls
1. I survived the invasion of bugs (I think)
2. for the first time in 4 days the sun stayed out all day and it didn't rain on us.
3. reading and laundry and borders are my accomplishments for the day

Hopefully the little frig will arrive and then I'll run into town and get some food to really cook. It is really hard to cook and make no leftovers. I can go back to the wedding quilt tomorrow and try to get it ready to mail by Fri. Oh it would feel good to have those 2 things out of my hair.

Good job having gotten the quilt ready for the long arm sewer. on the raffle quilt. Yes, getting the quilt for the wedding done and on its was back will be another job accomplished.
We did have another rain fall again today, it rain hard, then a flash with a kaboom, yup, lightening hit somewhere close again here. I was down in my sewing room so didn't see the flash but did hear the kaboom loud and clear. Jim said the lightening and the kaboom scared the dog, she actually dropped the ball right out of her mouth stunned.
My plans for tomorrow are to get some housework done, get a small grocery list made for Tuesday, sew somewhat and do my exercising on the stationery bike. More than likely play with the dog some too, and reading. Naturally there will be a dinner to make too.

Glad you got the raffle quilt ready to go to the long arm person. I remember all of those beetles that would show up in the fall. Hopefully they won't show up in western Washington this fall. So far we have had no bugs this summer except for the lone fly once in a while.

Those beetles are terrible. I used to have a glass of water on my night stand as I do drink during the night. One got in the glass and I drank it. Terrible taste for the rest of the night until after bkft. Now it's only covered bottles.
