Adjustments - who is in charge?

I’m getting closer to my weight goal and so I researched SP maintenance teams. It was interesting - so much support! I didn’t join a team, as I’m not there yet. Soon!
I then read a blog that said only 10% will keep the weight off. That would be discouraging, but I am so determined right now, I am pretty sure I will be one of those success stories. I have discovered my self-control and willpower over food.
What I found really interesting today was that as I was tracking my food intake, my daily goal nutrition tracker had been adjusted to 1450 - 1800 calories from the 1200 - 1500 I had been following for the last five months. I’m not sure how that happened. I’ve been thinking about how maintenance might look, and increasing calories to stop further weight loss makes perfect sense. I was just surprised that this adjustment happened without my direct input.
With that said, it still comes down to my continued “direct input” of food into my body. I’ve got this! The key will be continued quantity control and tracking; I liken this to a balanced budget. This is an interesting time for me - my awareness level is at an all-time high. I know some of my friends think I’m a little over-the-top with my weighing and measuring, but it works for me, and that is all that matters. (I do loosen up sometimes, but not too much.)
I’m sticking to 1200 calories until I reach my goal, likely within the next four weeks. Thanks SP friends, teams and SP for your amazing app and website. I have the tools to be successful. Thank you.
