Sparked by my Spark Friends

Thursday, October 22, 2020

This has been a monumental week for me because I decided to become team leader of our team that was beginning to wane. I love my spark friends because they have been not just good friends but because they inspire, motivate and support me. As a team we all support one another. I am blessed to be on 2 teams that are very communicative being the leader of one and I can't tell you how good it feels to know you are among others with the same goals and aspirations that you have.

Communication is the best way for all of us to be successful in not only acquiring our healthy goals but maintaining them. Maintaining our healthy lifestyles is a life time commitment and can be much harder than losing the weight . For long term and yoyo dieters, maintaining can be your biggest challenge but it is not impossible.

I say down with just 5% being successful and lets raise this number because we are Spark People. We are determined to succeed and stay healthy forever.

When joining teams, let your presence be known because without being actively involved you won't get all of the support you need. Your Spark community is your best asset and it has some of the best friends you will ever make if you just join in and belong.

We are all here for one reason and that is to be healthy and fit for a lifetime. My Spark friends spark me every day and I want to say Thank you Spark friends and thank you to the team leaders who help to make up the teams of great members who support and inspire me.

Should anyone reading this post like to join our team 50+ Maintainers, please feel free to click on the link of my team on my profile page. We are waiting for YOU and we want to sparkle with you!!

Well said Susan! I am so grateful for all the friends I have on my teams and without them I would not keep on working the plan to stay healthy and fit to the best of my ability.

Sue you've put it so well.
I've made so many friends on Sparks and they have lifted me in dark days and we've commiserated and congratulated each other along our journeys .

Thank for inviting me back to a team I left a while back because I had so much going on I just couldn't contribute as much as I would have liked.

stay safe sweetie, have a great weekend emoticon

Susan,I have always admired your attitude of striving, your determination to be healthy through some of the worst punches life can throw your way. You have been through some really tough life events since I met you a few years ago, and you never, ever use them as an excuse to let go of your discipline.

Until yesterday, I had no confidence I could be a member of any team, much less the Maintainers, since I am nowhere near the weight I'd like to be. But it's so strange--since accepting your kind offer to join anyway, and also being encouraged by my friend WarriorSue, I suddenly feel incredibly inspired. Your generosity of spirit--your wanting others to achieve the success you've achieved--I can't tell you how much I appreciate that!

Thanks for the reminder. I think you mentioned that I could join, even though I'm not quite at my Maintenance weight. (about 7 lbs to go) I got busy with my new computer & leaning new stuff, and forgot to join. I will do it this weekend. Have a good Friday.
