Are You On A Diet?
Sunday, November 22, 2020
I feel that “diets” do not work long term truly from the bottom of my heart. I’ve lost 220 pounds by doing little tweaks in my mindset and adjusting my thinking to accept portioning down a bit. I use smaller plates, order 1 size smaller than I THINK I want, split meals, try to use intuitive eating tools like deciding if it’s head hunger (felt above the neck, like a craving) or real hunger (usually below the neck ...)
Tracking food is different from dieting- if you’re looking at tracking for information and not to destroy yourself for going over. You can’t hate your body into submission, you can only love it into wellness.
The transformation lasts. Some diets try to pose as lifestyle change, as you struggle to stay on them. If you struggle like mad and say “I’m on and off,” then you’re dieting. Lifestyle change is harder, but worth it.
