Holidays with less sugar

Saturday, November 28, 2020

I have to convince my husband that we can still have a good holiday season without loading up on cookies and candy. Example: My daughter made a pie for Thanksgiving, and I had not even put my fork down before my husband asked if I wanted him to make chocolate chip cookies. I gave him a look that only a wife of over 20 years can give.

Have a good Saturday!

My DH has no idea how to cook. One Thanksgiving he brought home a FROZEN turkey, told me to put it in the crock pot (does anyone have one that big?) and serve it that afternoon. His idea for cookies is to go to the most expensive grocery store in the area and pay $5.99 for six cookies. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have learned to cook, bake, and eat food with fewer calories or just sample if I must.
I can now travel for weeks - eat emoticon emoticon in restaurants and now gain weight. I may not lose, but I do not gain.
