The Best Is Yet To Come

Monday, November 30, 2020

November was a rocky month for me. I don't think I shined in the ways I planned or reached the goals I set for myself but, overall I am counting the month as a win. WHY?
1. I am still showing up.
2. I am still learning.
3. I am getting physically and mentally stronger everyday.

I am trying new things! Yesterday, I made these 2-ingredient Pumpkin Muffins from Spark Recipes. I also made the Egg n' Oats recipe that was delish! I am gonna keep practicin'

Thanks to my SparkFriends, I am going to attempt to decorate my house for Christmas. This isn't a particularly happy time of year for me but I am changing and maybe it can be different this year. So, I am starting with uplifting my surroundings. This is just the beginning because once my creative juices start flowing, WATCH OUT! My orders will start coming in next week so, I will share more on my theme later (yes I picked emoticon a theme)...

December Goals
While I will continue to weigh myself daily, I am not factoring my success on a number. I want my goals this month to focus on my behavior and actions. I eat my veggies, workout and drink water. It's time to start setting myself up for long-term success:
1. Bed by 10 on weekdays and no later than 11 on weekends
2. Limit processed foods to no more than 3 items a day (includes snacks, dressings and veggies)
3. Daily ME -TIME Activity not related to work or working out
4. Next day meal planning will will be completed daily prior to bedtime snack
5. Ab work 3 days a week.

These are lofty goals but I believe you should go big or go home! I only wear big girl pants whether I am a size 8 or 18 (prefer my 8) emoticon

I can do this because I need to do these things if I am going to achieve the next level of success I want.

I am sending you only the most positive vibes that you are satisfied with all your hard work in November and you are ready to continue doing more in December. emoticon Work hard, work smart, work harder! XOXO

You just keep on rocking it! I agree, sometimes the biggest success is showing up no matter what it looks like.

I love everything about this blog, Lady! I'm struggling lately... really just a bunch of disruptions to my routine, which mess with me more than I'd like to admit. I have some journaling to do today to put perspective on it all. November wasn't what I wanted it to be, but it wasn't a failure. I've got to celebrate the small victories and plan for December. I'm going to do just that, because you inspired me this morning! Keep doing you, Chica... cause you are awesome!

The muffins look YUMMY!! Just 2 ingredients? NICE!! I've been watching Youtube video's which for me works very well on how to cook. LOL in my 60s and FINALLY got how to make pancakes!!

ENJOY ENJOY the day!! LOL Izzy says "NOTHING IS BAD KITTY PROOF!" And MEOWS happily.

Love the goals! My favorite thing about goals is, they are GOALS not demands. We do what we can to hit them, but we don't need to be upset if we don't.

@_CARPEDIEM_ The muffins were SUPER easy to make especially for a non-baker. I only added a tablespoon of water to get the mix going because it was soooo thick. They were really good. My family loved them hot out the oven. I had to get rid of them because they are small (only use a heaping tablespoon of mix). One batch is plain and then I got fancy and added raisins, walnuts and cacao nibs. You can just pop them in your mouth and POOF 115 cals gone! emoticon

I lost many loved ones in Nov/Dec, and that's why I push myself to decorate - to honor them. It is hard for me, but does me a lot of good dealing with the sadness of loss.
