New House new problems.

Hi! I am still unpacking but making progress. I had someone come to look at some repairs I need or things I want done yesterday. Waiting for a quote. The chimney sweep/pellet stove inspector is coming on Monday. I also have the heat pump scheduled for maintenance. I am getting used to the freight train going by day and night and rather enjoy Reverie at 6:30 am and Retreat at 5PM. The bugle music is nice.

Since moving in to this house the shower heads in both bedrooms have come out of the wall as well as the tub spigots which both leak. I suggest if you do buy a new place check to see if you can get into the tub. The one I use is so deep I need to have 2 grab bars installed because I can't swing my leg up that high without holding on. The other one the shower head is so very loose it isn't smart to use it. With all the rain the shed roof leaks a lot and needs to be replaced. The wind has blown over and broke the other shed which was full of bricks to weigh it down. It ended up partly in neighbor's yard. The trash cans get blown down the driveway. I am keeping all of that in the garage until I can get them attached with bungee cords to the house. I am getting pretty good at cleaning up tree branches which I am keeping in the empty shed until I can get someone to haul them away. The city has ignored my calls when I called to complain that my yard waste keeps getting missed. It is all nice and bundled and bagged up too. They kept skipping me on trash and recycle day but I have that fixed. Oh and my health insure was terminated back to August 31st. due to mismanagement on so many levels. FYI, don't move, change addresses or fail to keep all correspondence. I have the correspondence thank goodness. So glad I have the one that proved I mailed a check. Unfortunately the P.O. delivered it to wrong address. It was lost for 10 days. I have spent days, no joke, trying to get this fixed. Latest dilemma the company that provides the benefit(Joe's employer) was hacked so even though I am paid up the ins, dental and prescriptions providers are billing me back to August since they can't be notified until the benefit office can use their computers again. The benefit place is happy to have my money though. My insurance went from $111 to $565 since the year is up when I was covered under cobra. I will have new insurance in January but it looks like I am going to be penalized for non coverage due to termination. There is way more to the story but I just can't deal any more!

On a bright note I am a Purple Phoenix and a Firecracker so who can complain!
