To All "Soldiers Of Prayer" *
Monday, January 04, 2021
The site above is a prophetic word from Lana Vawser, I believe, for His body in 2021.
Below the reader will find a soldier's testimony, an excerpt from "Tell That Bully, NO! The Overcomer's Handbook" written for all who walk by faith, and not by sight....
"One day, pressed beyond measure … to the utmost, on the cusp of the veritable edge … I sat down and wrote:
It is getting harder to pray, “God’s will only.” The words barely slip over my lips. The way of the cross---to take up one’s cross daily---segues to Matthew 11:28 in which Jesus invites ALL those who are “heavy laden” to come to Him to find rest, an intermission from the distress, a welcomed relief. “Pressed out of measure,” Paul writes, “above strength, in so much that we despaired even of life” (2 Corinthians 1:8). Stop and ponder these words. This is a portion of the gospel of Christ written by Paul.
Have you been there? Do not be alarmed or taken by surprise. It happens. It originated with Jesus when He was in the garden of Gethsemane, “My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death (Matthew 26:38).”
O, help, I whisper. Jesus, give me rest. Make a way of escape so I can bear my “work of
faith,” “labor of love,” “patience of hope” (1 Thessalonians 1:3). When you think you cannot withstand another moment and hope’s glimmer becomes obscured by disappointment, mustard seed faith will not allow you to abandon your dreams. Time’s precious investment will bear fruit! (Galatians 6:9).
It aggravates our flesh because the carnal man is just plain tired. But if we are one of those soldiers of prayer, we never give up. Prayer energizes our faith (Jude vs. 20). Praying in the Spirit enables us to walk in the Spirit and subdue our flesh. O, it is so exasperating: the conflict between our weak flesh and willing spirit. Our God makes a way of escape for us.
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39"
