Chores done. Phone calls made. Arguing done.
Why is it you have to argue with doctor offices, insurances, pharmacies to get anything done AND you pay through the nose for alllllll of it???
OK … rant over.
I’m still on track!!!
I got this.
More exerts from Steve #89:
Fat people have middle-class self-talk.
Fit people have world-class self-talk.
Fat people talk themselves out of being thin. They tell themselves that someday they’ll lose weight and get thin and health, but then that day never comes. They tell themselves they deserve to eat whatever they want whenever they want because they’re depressed, stressed, or bored. They tell themselves it will be more painful not eating their favorite foods than it is being fat.
Fit people also talk to themselves. Fit people tell themselves a thin, healthy and attractive body feels better than any food will ever taste … they feel better and have more energy eating healthy foods. They tell themselves exercise is fun and it feels fantastic knowing you’re getting stronger and healthier every day.
The language we use with ourselves is the most powerful of all the mental conditioning tools. Human beings are in a constant conversation with themselves, including in our dreams when we sleep. Nothing has more power to change our beliefs and behaviors than … positive self-talk.
It's the most underrated self-empowerment strategy in the history of performance psychology.
Critical Thinking Question: On an average day, is your self-talk more middle or world class???
Action Step: Start upgrading your self-talk today by focusing on the world-class language of love, abundance, gratitude and optimism. Your self-talk will have a dramatic impact on your belief system, and will drive your behavior to support your upgraded beliefs.
A friend of mine just hosted her beloved daughter’s wedding. Friend is a Weight Watcher who lost 75+ pounds BUT “found” 30 of them over the years. WHAT … she would be in wedding pictures that would be looked at throughout the years. So … she did some tough talking and got busy and re-lost those pounds.
Wedding came and she wore her fancy pants to the wedding.
At the wedding her brain screamed … you made your goal so now PARTY and eat everything you want to.
NOT. She stood her ground, lived up to her goal to lose AND keep off the pounds.
Yep, there’s lots of talkin’ when you are not a “naturally” thin person. But isn’t there lots of internal talkin’ any way??? So, let’s tell ourselves:
WE can do this … NO matter what.
Just do it … already.
Change your mind … and the rest WILL follow.
**Within this blog is my longwinded thoughts based on my reading and humble understanding of from Steve Siebold’s Die Fat or Get Tough and years and years and years of searching for thinness and … self-peace.
