January 2021 Goals

Tuesday, January 12, 2021

The 5% Winter challenge has started and I am working on challenging myself in January with other goals outside of the challenge. Here are my January goals written down so I can go back and see if I accomplished any of then come February:

1. Get to 100 ounces of water daily
2. Try to hit 10k steps on Fitbit at least 15 days of the month
3. Work on removing unhealthy snacks from house (hubs is bad about his snacks)
4. Blog and talk about my progress more
5. Lose 5 lbs on the scale.

I'm off to an ok start, I have hit 10k steps 2 days this month so far. I try not to weigh but once a week, next weigh in will be this coming Saturday. Water is a struggle, but I'm going to go fill my water bottle now to try and get 32 ounces in by noon. There are less healthy snacks so far because I haven't been to the store and hubby has ate most of his snacks. This blog is a step in the right direction to follow my progress.

Water is easy for me but I understand it is a struggle for most. I cut out sodas, ice tea etc when I was diagnosed with diabetes and just drank water because it was free! I think filling your jug up in the am is smart. I fill up the coffee carafe and use that to fill my glass as I like room temp water. I am not use to the chlorine and Britta only does a fair job.

Bravo on the steps. I slacked last week myself. If I go over 8,000 it aggravates my hip big time. This weeks challenge for a healthy snack was helpful.

Looking forward to more blogs and celebrating your success!
