Choose your hard

I like this saying - Being overweight is hard. Losing weight is hard. Choose your hard.
I choose to lose weight. It doesn't come easy, but it does come with rewards. It's only been a few weeks that I've been on plan and stayed on plan, but it's already feeling easier, more natural.
I've noticed that I'm hungry, but not starving, for each meal since I've cut calories and limited snacking.
I've noticed that I don't crave sweets since I quit eating refined sugar and products made with refined sugar.
I've noticed that I eat slower and enjoy my food more since I've made an effort to prepare things I like and am limiting the serving sizes to appropriate portions.
I've noticed that I sleep better on a less-full stomach since I quit eating endlessly in the evenings.
This hard is getting easier because of the rewards I'm finding along the way. I made a commitment to myself not to stay as I was because staying was harder and there were few rewards. This path feels better and is more sustainable long term.
Would love to hear what rewards others are finding on their weight loss and maintenance journeys.
