Diversions from stress

Thursday, January 21, 2021

The weather outside was milder today but the winds were high. I decided I would stay in and do some indoor running and have managed to get over 4 miles in.

I have also made a point of getting up and moving every hour on the house for several minutes at a fast pace.

My stress level has been high this past week as being in lockdown and not able to basically go anywhere but outside for fitness has just started getting to me. A few friends who keep in touch via messenger on Facebook are feeling the same so we are trying to lift each others spirits through positive chat.

To try and lower my stress level I started to do a project that my daughter got me for Christmas. It is called diamond dot painting. ITs like paint by by number but instead of using paint you use tiny plastic dots that you insert onto a sticky lettered surface. I found working on it today was so relaxing and I thought of nothing but the colors and work I was doing.. It should take several weeks to complete so this diversion should help to keep the stress level down past the time of when our lockdown will end. (hopefully) I will take a picture of it once done and post in my BLOG.

Nothing more to BLOG about at the moment so Goodnight and God Bless.

I'm looking forward to seeing your diamond dot painting when you're done, Susan. It sounds like a calming activity to work on it.

It is indeed stressful to be always at home. I know it doesn't do any good to say this again and again, but I really can't wait until we don't have to worry about Covid any more.

The other day I got this magazine with classes you can take and it's just for fun. They have some cooking classes and I'm seriously thinking of doing them. My mom noticed the painting one and she wants to do that. I think we're going to be in lockdown for a while and we need to do things to keep our minds working. Good luck with the painting.
