January review

This is our assignment for the Aspire & Inspire sparkteam: Do you think January has been a successful month for you? If so, what did you do that made it successful? If not, what can you change to reach a higher level of success in the upcoming months?

My first goal for January was to exercise at least ten minutes every day. I did this 27 out of 31 days. My second goal was to get at least fifteen hundred fitness minutes for the month. I only got a little over 1300 fitness minutes in January. My third goal for the month was to do strength training at least three times a week. I met this goal. Finally, for January I signed up to do a 30-day yoga challenge with Yoga for Adriene, so my goal was to do yoga for 30 days. I only ended up doing about half of this.

So overall, I wasn’t successful in meeting all my goals, but I still accomplished a lot. My biggest problem is not exercising when I’m “not motivated” or I “don’t feel like it.” I need to push myself to do it anyway. I plan to work on this in February.

    I can completely related to the no exercising when not motivated. I slacked off in January big time and February will be my month to change the attitude and push myself to do it too!

    Overall you did pretty well this month. On to a new month where you have a chance to accomplish all or more of your goals. Congratulations on what you accomplished! emoticon

    You did accomplish a lot! You met some of your goals. Celebrate the successes!

    Why not build on where you are now by taking little steps? How can you make those successes a little more challenging ... but not TOO challenging? Why not plan "days that you don't feel like it" into your goals?!?! You will have a better chance at meeting your goals ... and ... you can feel extra proud if you do more than originally planned.
