Day 2 of SparkPeople

Sunday, September 16, 2007

So I have been a Weight Watcher since April 1, 2006, and I'm very close to losing 50 lbs. However there are many things I don't like about Weight Watchers, and it's also just... well, expensive for me right now. I'm a college student, over full time, and a lot of unfortunate expenses have come up this semester.

In any case, I decided to check out SparkPeople so I wouldn't fall off my weight loss plans if I did quit Weight Watchers. Today is day 2, and so far it's been fun. I'm not sure what the point to the SparkPoints are yet, but it's kind of neat to collect them, I suppose.

I haven't been on the spark in, oh, 10 months? I never really used it, I was trying to go commando by working myself to death at the gym. So, I logged in for the first time in forever today, went to get my daily points, and I got like 350? I guess they reward absences XD

That's amazing that you've lost so much. I'm sure the spark will be able to help you. Plus, it's great to be able to transition from "dieting mode" to "real life mode", I mean, no one stays in weight watchers forever, so what's the point?

The Sparkpoints are a fun thing to do - sort of makes a game of it - and you get free stuff from the advertisers for different points! They've sent my wife a water bottle for sure and another time an arm band that was reflective? Maybe?

You have a good goal. Stick to it.

Welcome to the "...under 200." forum. Some of us have been here for a while, but will get to our goals one of these days!

I don't think Spark is certain of what role they want the points to play, but it is kinda cute...
