Survivng Christmas...

One Christmas party down and four to go! I've been stressing a lot about having so many dinners to go over the next week. There sometimes aren't a lot of healthy options, but I did really well last night (minus a bit too much wine). I didn't eat a single treat and watched my portion sizes at dinner. I feel confident that I can make it through this next week without gaining anything. I'm optimistically hoping that I can be at my goal by New Year's day. That might be a little too optimistic, but I saw 108.8 on the scale this morning so I know it's obtainable. It's definitely giving me extra motivation to stick to my plan for this week and to resist all the bad food out there. My husband doesn't understand why I don't just indulge since its Christmas, but I explained it like this to him, I will never get home from a party and sit there regretting that I didn't eat a piece of pie, but I would certainly sit there regretting it if I did eat the pie. I'm planning on getting a really good workout in tonight to start the week off right!
