It's the weekend-- a well known danger zone. And so far I have had mixed results. First, I talked my husband out of the healthy meal he wanted to cook and into getting pizza. That is falling right into old habits. But, on the plus side, I ate a salad and fruit with my dinner, THEN had 2 pieces of pizza and counted all the food on the SP nutrition tracker. I did go over my calories for the day, but not by much. This morning I had a healthy breakfast. The leftover pizza is going in the garbage.
Pizza does have a place in a healthy diet--and I did control myself, so that is a definate positive! My husband said he felt bloated and overfull--he ate more pizza than I did. I felt pretty great actually. I could have done better, but I did make a baby step toward having a healthy relationship with pizza.
My next weekend challenge is to exercise. I usually skip the treadmill on the weekends because we ski or snowshoe, but the snow is a little icky right now so we won't be doing outdoor activities. So I need to exercise at least one of the days this weekend. That's the goal. Maybe I'll find a great reward for myself if I do that!!
