One week down!! (or more actually....)

Wow, I can't believe it, I started with sparkpeople on 1/4/08--it's been over a week and I am still loving it!

I absolutely love the way the site is honest: 95% of dieters fail, so SP works on changing lives. That is what I have needed for so long, and the pieces have just not come together for me --UNTIL NOW. I think it is because there are several influences in my life that have pressed and pressed upon me until giving in was my only option. The diagnosis of insulin resistant/prediabetic, and my doctor's insistence on losing weight; my therapist's insistance on beginning healthy habits; and my own readiness for change.

The three things I do on a regular basis-
1. Get up early and exercise
2. Get at least 8 hours of sleep
3. Work 40-50 hours per week only. No more than 50.

These three things have changed my attitude, have honestly changed my life. Now add in writing down my meals and eating more healthy and I think I have a wonderful recipe for real change.
