The Body Crazy!

Ok well for a few days I was trying to fight off water retention for the kmart weigh in. Drinking plenty of water, eating the right stuff, cutting back on sodium. Did it work....NO. Worst part is the kmart scale was totally off mine this week. My weigh in at home was 277.8 and theirs was 279.6. Ok so I got my 2lbs goal in but it was really weird how it was so far off this time. Made me mad at the same time.

Even weirder, afterwards I went to subway (I hate subway btw but it was conveinient) and had a tuna on wheat. The rest of the day I didnt eat all that great. Not over board but things I normally wouldnt. Well the water retention went away and my weight dropped to 276.8. (This morning I was 276.6) What was that all about? Here I watch what Im eating before a weigh in and my weight drops when I dont keep track. Wish I knew what I did to make the retention disappear. Is there a scientific fact that says stress causes water retention???? I wonder.

Anyway I want add a big THANK YOU to the kind words commented on my last blog. When I get frustrated i get FRUSTRATED lol. I try to stay on the positive but sometimes that evil twin negative creeps up.

My measurements werent too bad this week (I do them every 2 weeks) My scale has me at a 5lbs loss and my measurements are:

1/15 1/27
NECK: 16.5 16
BUST: 54 52.5
WAIST: 47 45
HIPS: 55 52.75
ARM: 16.5 15.75
THIGH: 27.5 26.5

I wish I had done my belly because I can tell it went down.

It always seems the inches move more than the scale. This week my goal is to try even harder to workout. My Gazelle will be in sometime this week too, whooopee!! Also in a few weeks I am hoping to get one of those bikes that support the back better.

I am feeling better since my last entry and today my exercise will entail moving furniture lol.

As for my crazy body lets hope it keeps doing things in a positive way.

I find it super frustrating to get on the scale too often. I think it is good to have something to measure your progress with - but weight is always so arbitrary.... I mean there is water weight, what time of day you weigh yourself, the fact that muscle weighs more than fat.

That might explain a little why the inches are moving but the scale isn't.... you are building muscle while losing fat, so as you are getting leaner, the muscle does weigh more. Once your body gets used to and builds its muscle mass up - then the scale will drop with your inches.

    You're doing great!
