The news is calling it a Polar Vortex. It's a serious dip in the Polar cold stream that's moving through the midwest and heading straight for New England. Starting tomorrow we're going to be seeing wind chills of -10 to -20 degrees below zero until the weekend.
I live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and we are experience some of the coldest weather in 25 years. Predicted actual air low temperatures are -28 and -27 F (-33.33 C/-32.77C) and we have a windchill warning.This in itself is crazy.
However, there are 146 people who embarked Monday on a 135 mile race from International Falls, MN to Tower, MN. Even I draw the line at this lol!
