Hi MOMMYTORRES and to SparkPeople...Nice to have you with us on the journey to a healthier lifestyle.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
Mistakes are the portals of discovery.
Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
Hello all! I'm a married mom of 4, the youngest being 17 years old, living in FL. I need to have an abdominal hernia surgery - so I took the plunge and signed up & paid for what is hopefully my last round of hCG injections!
I'm 5 ft 2, and prior to starting this latest round I was 179.8lbs (I'm now using a smart scale). I looked heavily pregnant, but since May 9th I've gone down to 154 lbs. 😊 My visceral fat was said to be at 13 (on the smart scale) when I started and now I'm at 10! No more pregnancy tummy!
I still have about 14 shots left (not including the IM MIC injections, 1x/wk). I'm feeling fantastic!
I'm one of those people that can eat the same thing for every meal and not get bored - but this round I've been as creative as possible. I found this community looking for recipes to alter & I'm hoping to find a few hCG diet buddies! I'm Phase 2 of course, since I'm still taking shots.
I'll be having my abd MRI & ultrasound after I finish Phase 2, just to get an idea of how invasive the surgery will be. My first surgical consult pretty much went like this: lose some weight if you want the sutures to hold and healing to be uncomplicated. Sigh.
I'm a SciFi nerd & have a few autoimmune disorders. The hardest thing about this diet has been giving up my can of Starbucks TripleShot Energy drink each day! It is like a vacuum cleaner for my brain. Sugar free Monster has been my drink lately and it doesn't work to clear my brain fog up as much.
I don't know what else to say! I really do hope to find some hCG buddies to chat with from time to time.
BTW, does anyone know how to set the calories to something other than 1400 in the meal area? That's an issue with another thing I've tried - an app. I'm not going to be near 1400 calories a day for MONTHS! At least I can see what my total calories consumed is (456 Monday)
