Hi and welcome to Sparkpeople. Congratulations on making this move toward a healthier you. By joining teams, you will receive accountability, encouragement, support and motivation. Check out the teams on my sparkpage. We'd love to have you join us on them.

If I can be of any help, please let me know.

Consider setting up a sparkpage. It can really help with encouragement & support, by allowing other members to stop by your page.

A long way distance-wise, but not so far health-wise since you already know you can do it. Get started again and stick with it and you *can* and *will* succeed. Best of luck with those goals and welcome to SparkPeople!

Welcome to Sparkpeople so glad you have joined us.

Consider making up a sparkpage making it public with a little about your journey on it so that when members come to read how you are doing they can post a word of encouragement / motivation to you

Also please consider to participate as often as possible on all the groups you have joined as that is where you will find lots of encouragement and motivation

In 2016 I decided it was time to make a change, having completed the London marathon in 2013 in a not very pretty fashion and doing a bit of running over the next 3 years I decided I needed to lose 35lb and I did it!
I felt fantastic, but it it all changed in 2018!
Between 2016/18 I ran 17 marathons and lots of half marathons and shorter distances and my weight stayed the same.
Then in 2018 I had to pull out of a marathon at 18 miles I was in tears, all that training!!
Then the anxiety hit me like a train, could only go to work didnโ€™t want to see my friends or go anywhere.
Piled back on the 35lb that Iโ€™d lost and Iโ€™ve been the same for 2 years!
Now itโ€™s time to change!!!
Iโ€™ve joined SparkPeople for motivation from people are also looking for the same as me.
I have a 2020 goal to hit 20 marathons and lose 35lb, I know I can do this.
