Based on the number of times people have told me to shut up over the years, I don't think I'm shy. You have the right idea with tracking. It's the only thing that consistently works for me. Using the 21 day challenge and the SparkPeople 28-Day Program that you'll find under the Learn tab above are also good ideas that will help you get a jump on building better habits. Jayne, welcome to Sparkpeople so glad you have joined us.

I sure understand about being shy and just clicking 'like' on posts. But I would like to encourage you to work on that a little and actually participate on the groups you have joined - even just one post on them once a week - they tell us that those that participate usually end up having the best results. It also really encourages members when others participate - so do give it a try.

Also I was looking at your Sparkpage - I would like to suggest you putting a little about yourself and your journey. That way when we come to say hi to you on it we can read how you are doing. Saying that I am about to go to my Sparkpage and update it as it is a new month.

Hi everyoone!

My name is Jayne and I am on my 21 day challenge! I am very shy and normally won't post much, just "like" other posts, but part of my challenge is saying hello.

So it's day 5, I am a yoga instructor who is have a REALLY big birthday in a month, and have gotten "thick" over the years. I wanted to track my food and activity to help me get to a healthier weight, so here I am with sparkpeople.
