Thank you for the suggestions! I just put a tracker on my page and I'm taking some beginning stats so I can see my progress.

Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.

Inspiration can often become motivation, so check out the SparkStories under the "Community" tab at the top of this page. As suggested, use the trackers so that you can see where you are now and from that, you can determine where you want to go and how to get there. Best of luck with your new goals and being a new person. Welcome back!

Welcome back - so glad you have returned

Have just read your Sparkpage - you sound like a positive person - you know what you want - and you will get it.

Makes use of the food and exercise tracker as a start to your program - especially the food tracker as it is usually an eye opener to people when they actually track everything they put into their mouth.

Read a lot of the articles - lots of help there.

And what I consider a very big part of success here is to participate as often as possible on all the groups you have joined - they should give you lots of encouragement and motivation.

I have a group you might be interested in
One year of making healthy lifestyle changes

It is a small group but active - all members participate at least once a week and many participate daily giving and receiving encouragement. So of this would interest you come to my sparkpage to get to it - but remember that we are an active group and ask all members to participate regularly

Hello all, I'm not really sure what to say to introduce myself. I'm 38 years old (turning 39 in February) and would like to get in better shape and learn how to stay healthy. I've been on SparkPeople before but that feels like a different person ago. I'm looking for motivation to get moving in a new direction. I look forward to getting to know those of you that are active on here and helping to support eachother.
