This morning I'm grateful for:

-Waking to the sound of light rain and distant, low thunder
-Getting trash out for me and my neighbors, pleasant in a light rain
-My first CSA bag: cucumbers, cantaloupe, sweet peppers, heirloom tomatoes, curly kale, garlic, Salanova lettuce and eggplant (for $20!!)
-Cleo being a total love bug when a cat-loving friend visited last night; it was unusual and hilarious
-Feeling good about last night's accomplishments

This morning I'm grateful for:

-Indian food for dinner last night (I was craving Indian spices)
-Indulging in blueberry pancakes for breakfast with scrambled eggs
-The chuckle I just got realizing my entire gratitude focus involves food (I guess due to not eating for almost 2 days)
-My elderly neighbor's smile when I offered to start putting out his weekly lawn debris Sunday evenings (in addition to trash and recyclables Wed a.m.)
-NY Stock Exchange closes at 1 p.m. (noon our time), so I know everybody will be leaving early today
-Four-day weekend coming right up
-Very low-key plans intentionally, like MAYBE going to see a movie

Today, this first day of July, I'm grateful for:

-Rebecca, as always, getting us headed in the right direction for the new month with this thread - bowing in gratitude, my friend
-This practice and all who share in it, for it enriches my own practice (thanks Rebecca, GBoomer and all others)
-Finally feeling better and like I could eat again today after some strange food poisoning-type of issue Saturday
-Toast and a scrambled egg, that haven't tasted so good in a long time!
-My sweet kitties who hung tight with me
-Special thanks to Cleo today who snuggled in under my arm (unusual) and I fell asleep for a 3-hour nap (she was there when I woke); another "learning from cats" lesson
-My work calendar and saved up PTO easily allowing a day off work (added recovery insurance)

-Easy trip to post office mailing inventory completed yesterday
-Beets maturing at rate that yields a few every day, perfect for salads etc.
-Good health and growing strength and stamina
-Motivation to get into studio today for making special gift

“Joys for July”... Love it! How lucky I am to share gratitudes together with Rebecca, Stephanie and others! Reading your celebrations, little and big, is a reminder and inspiration of the goodness in my own life.

This July 1st, I am grateful for:
• the joy of re-reading old Peanuts comics
• finding an inspiring ebook about self-care, coming at an opportune time as I have been focusing on caregiving most recently
• meeting the local ducks and geese during early morning walks here in FL
• walking as a core piece of self-care
• looking forward to going home tomorrow
