You are not alone in the up and down weight cycle. I am in the same boat. I successfully lost 80 pounds. Then, for a couple of reasons, I regained half of it and have struggled with the cycle of losing and regaining the same 10-15 pounds.

I started some nutrition classes a month ago with a company that has similar principles to SP. I don't necessarily agree with 100% of what they are peddling, including protein from animal sources only, but I have made a few changes based on their program. One big one I made is completely removing sucralose. So fat, I am losing, knock on wood, and my sugar cravings are gone.

Are there any small changes you can make like I have and others have suggested?

I can understand your reasoning for your name choice :-)

Where it comes to your weight going up/down/up/down ... have you ever analyzed why this is happening? A lot of people make a lot of changes all at once when they decide they are going to "go on a diet", and this is a common factor for falling off the wagon. A lot of people also cut out certain food groups, and this too can cause a person to fall off the wagon. They both cause a person to either feel deprived, or bored, or they haven't learned the lessons/gotten used to the changes gradually before moving onto the next step.

I wish you well in this journey.

Take care,
Kris

Really like the last sentence of your 1st paragraph. Use that as your mantraemoticon "I will succeed"

Part of success is enjoying, learning and growing on this journey. Sounds like you have made important successes in those areas. Your patience, perseverance and resolve are admirable.

I chose that as my screen name quite a few years ago - and I still have the same goal. I have lost and gained weight over and over and over and over again. Some of them have been huge successes, none have really stuck. I am not giving up. I will succeed.....

My goals are to be thinner and even more importantly to be physically fit.....
