Day 004

Big day as it is the first weekend of this journal. It's easy to go off the rails. So far so good. Will head out to look for some different foods I've not eaten before.

Day 003

Not going to beat myself up over this, but last night I had ten animal crackers. In the grand scheme of things, nothing to derail me. Other than that I ate pretty good. Had an egg/bacon omelet in the morning, bison burger in for lunch, and tuna fish sandwich for dinner. Throughout the day I had some cheese sticks and blueberries. Yes, I'm not much of a cook. I walked for a little over a mile as well.

Today will probably be similar except for the animal crackers. I don't have a history for exploring different kinds of foods, but that's one of my stretch out goals. My thinking is that expanding the variety will be good for my body.

Day 002 -

Picked up some Bison meat yesterday. I've heard about how good it is, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not a big red meat eater, maybe twice a year, but during the course of the weight loss program I'm on, I want to try different food.

Went to the gym last night and got on the treadmill for 20 minutes then did a couple of sets of weights. A fraction of what I used to do, but the goal for the moment is to change patterns gradually.

I was able to make it through the day w/o eating any cookies. Truly amazing.

Day 001 - Today is day one of what is expected to be a long, long journey. To be honest, I'm already thinking about eating my standard 2,800 calories of cookies today. Not to mention my 2,500 calories from regular meals. I have to make a choice though. A trim, healthy, active life without cookies or a fat, unhealthy, inactive life with cookies. Seems stupid to even have to spell it out, but the fact is I'm seriously addicted to them. Sugar can cloud common sense. Trust me, I've been living in the fog for too long.

Regarding diet, I'm not going to be super strict this week. My goal is not to eat cookies. Even two days w/o them is huge. Shooting for a week. The rest of my meals are pretty low key; for instance, oatmeal w/raisins, chicken sandwich, tuna, salads, etc.
