I am sorry your data is gone, WANNABESKINNYME. It had to have been at least 11 months (maybe more) since you signed into your account here. That's why it was included in that account cleanup. If you decide to continue tracking here, I strongly recommend you login on a regular basis to ensure your data remains.

I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Very disappointed that my data is all gone. Like others, I have used this tool for many years. I have singed in within the last year but the data is gone. I will have to create a tracker of my own. I don't trust this site any longer.

Hi JESSBLUE22,

We do not have a way to import data like you may be asking. However, can go to your Weigh-In page (My Trackers - my Weight) and manually enter past weights there. Use the little calendar on that page to go back to previous dates, click the date for which you have a weigh-in, then enter that amount in the "Today's Entry" field. I am not sure if you will be able to go all the way back to your first weigh-in; but, you can give that a try.

We do not currently have a way for members to request advance notification before data is removed. I will pass that suggestion along to our team for future consideration. Thanks for the feedback.

It seems this has happened to me too.

Ive been tracking for a decade and this weight information is so valuable to me.

If it's really gone, i might have exported the data to a file at one point. How can I restore that data to sparkpeople?

Is there a way to request thaty data is not deleted without warning?

Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been going through those things, but am glad you are in a better place to focus on your health. Unfortunately, the system permanently clears out data for accounts that haven't been signed into for over a year and there isn't a way to get that data back.

Sorry about that!

SAME issue - I've been dealing with some pretty major mental health issues after a traumatic death in the family, and honestly haven't been able to do much more than simply survive. I'm finally in a healthy enough space to start shifting the focus back to my nutrition and weight, and all my data (I believe I began in 2007?) is gone. I"m devastated. Please let me know if there is any way to retrieve this.

I'm not sure what you mean by that you have tried contacting on the emails, but I am going to send you a SparkMail about this issue, so please look for that in just a moment.

I'm in the same boat with looking for old data only to find it has all been deleted with no warning. This is extremely disappointing. I logged in to look back over my old records to see what exactly I had done to be successful with weight loss in the past so I can implement the same strategies now, but now it's like all that time I spent tracking and logging was for nothing. I had planned on coming back to SparkPeople since it helped me so much in the past but after seeing how little regard this site has for its users I'm going to find some other service to track with, maybe one that doesn't just purge its data with no notification. If it turns out there is some way to recover that old data I'd perhaps reconsider but this is a terrible policy for SP to have. At least send a notification e-mail, sheesh!

Sorry you're so upset about that! I'm not sure that there is anything that goes out about that, but I have passed along your feedback to the team.

Same here. Was looking to get my old data for a graph I’m putting together of my weight loss over the years. Absolutely ridiculous they would delete that data. I get maybe archiving it, but it shouldn’t just be gone altogether. Is there anywhere on the website that states our data will be deleted if we don’t log in for a year? Do we get an email saying it will be deleted before they do so? Pretty upset it is just all gone.

Welcome back! Unfortunately, it sounds like you didn't sign into your account for over a year and the servers now clear out data for accounts that haven't been signed into for at least a year and there isn't a way to get that data back.

Hello everyone, I've been a SparkPeople member for over a decade but it's been awhile since I last logged in. When I logged in today, my SparkPage is intact but there is absolutely not history in my weight report! That information about myself is valuable to me and I expected it would be safe here. Does anyone know what happened and how I can get my weight tracker data back?
