Hi - welcome. I agree with NITEMAN.

One thing I will caution you on is jumping in boots and all. That is often why people end up falling off the wagon in the first place. Just making gradual changes removing the less healthy foods and replacing them with healthier versions, including ensuring you are getting at least 5+ full servings of fruit/veggies per day, good amount of lean protein and healthy fats, while at the same time increasing your exercise (strength and aerobic) is usually all it takes ... and patience. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day :-)

I also suggest that you weigh all of your food for increased accuracy and enter it all into the Nutrition Tracker. That way you can see exactly where your calories are coming from and ensure that you are getting at least the minimum fats/carbs/protein that SP suggests for you. If you aren't getting them, then mostly all it takes is a few minor tweaks.

Good luck,
Kris

I haven't seen much response to requests for individual buddies here as a rule, but you'll find a lot of support and accountability just by posting regularly in the various Message Board forums and SparkTeams, the Community Feed, the Challenges, and on your SparkPage blog. Welcome aboard and good luck with your goals!

Hi, new here!

I am a working (full time) busy mom to a 5 year old and a 2 year old and still struggling to lose my baby weight. Enough is enough.

I have tried several diets and food plans in the past and although they work for me in the short term, I need more than a meal or food plan. I need a partner and someone to hold me accountable and to encourage each other. I don’t have much support at home so this is why I’m here. I am planning on doing 2 shakes a day (breakfast, lunch) one meal with my family and 2/3 small snacks. Similar to the Silmfast plan although due to budget I may not be using the slimfast products.

If anyone would like a buddy, I am jumping all in on this plan on Monday November 18. Best of luck to everyone else out there looking to get healthy.
