1 Hot water and antibacterial soap to keep hands clean.

2 Choosing to forgive; anger achieves nothing beneficial and leads only to sickness and/or destruction. I hadn't even realized I was harboring some anger about a recent situation until I had an unrelated conversation with an acquaintance today. Something we discussed about someone else being angry made me think. I could see how that person's anger was not beneficial to them. I'm so grateful to God for this random conversation; it helped me to see something I really needed to correct.

3 Recognizing the power of appreciation. Choosing to live a more simple life is helping me to appreciate and respect the things God has given me more. I pray that I continue to exercise this spiritual muscle so it can stengthen and develop into a part of my daily perception.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever exercises faith in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

This morning I am grateful for:

sunshine streaming in my windows
a home in which things work and which I love in all its imperfections. Well, most of them
my circle of good friends

3 Trusting God with some work issues that have been going on; I love that I can pray to Him anytime and get counsel from His Word to help me make decisions.

What I am specifically grateful for this morning:
the buzzing of my radiators
a good exercise class I will attend this morning
the time I will have to just sit and read after my exercise class

It was harder than I thought it would be to avoid the broader good things. thanks for starting this thread!

I shall bite!

1. I woke up alive! I am truly grateful for that every day it happens. It means I have another chance to enjoy the world around me and put in a solid day's work,

2. I am grateful that I don't have to work my part-time job at a local dinner theater tonight because we are between shows.

3. Because I don't have to work tonight, I will be able to bring some food to my parents. They are returning home tomorrow after a trip and I like bringing a meal or two when I can and I ran out of time this weekend.

Today....1. My grandmother's doctor taking the time to patiently talk with us. 2. Sweating a lot during my strength training (I feel more accomplished when I sweat sometimes, lol) 3. A close encounter with a woodpecker; God makes beautiful things.

What 3 unique specific things are you grateful for today? I know many may think of the generic/broad things such as health, shelter, etc; I'm interested in really digging into our minds and appreciating things that we take for granted. Thought it could be fun. Anyone interested?
