I saw this team listed on another Spark Friend's page and decided to have a look. SO glad I did! I've been doing DIY and gardening projects for months now!

We live in a 26 year old mobile home that we bought brand new that many years ago. Over the past two years it had been neglected while I worked 60-70 hours a week and spent another 30 hours per week visiting my husband in hospital/nursing home/hospital/rehab center/hospital/nursing home.

As of 11/25/13 he is finally home and I took an earlier than planned retirement to be his caregiver.

Thus far I have the inside walls and ceilings painted, new back splash behind the stove, refinished kitchen cabinets and installed new knobs, repaired a toilet, caulked around another toilet and put on a new seat after having to use a hacksaw to get the old rusty bolts off, and then it was time to head outdoors where I have reclaimed the yard and landscaping, dug up/divided hosta, created new flower bed, put down LOTS of mulch (27 bags!), planted grass seed, uncluttered the shed, stained the deck, steps and wheelchair ramp. Whew! Pictures of all that are in various blogs.

Yesterday my DIY project was a simple one. Getting rid of old leftover latex paint, 12 years old and no longer usable. It has to be dried in the can with lid off before thrown away. I added basic clay cat litter, non-clumping variety, to each can and stirred it in to mix, then left lids on for it to harden.

Next on my project list are painting our mobile home skirting and painting the shutters.
