Welcome! I ate very few veggies when I started, and I found as with everything else, slow and steady works best. I'd pick a very that I liked in one form, and then slowly try it in other forms until I started to enjoy it.

Try lots of different preparations: I found I love raw carrots but don't like the texture when cooked, but just the opposite for broccoli - it has to be steamed just right. I hate raw tomatoes but love chopping them up and adding to other foods, and of course tomatoe sauce with lots of garlic.

For salad, I found the real thing I didn't like is dressing because I don't like vinegar-based food - so I eat it plain or with a bit of steak sauce. Also iceberg lettuce is just tasteless. After trying a bunch (read: a lot of gagging and a lot of food thrown out) I finally found the one for me: spring mix.

As I tell my 4-year-old now, you don't have to like it, you just have to try one bite. Do that enough times with enough different foods, and you'll come to find something you love.

It doesn't matter how slow you go, as long as you're moving.

Hi Rhoadan,
Well, If it smells good, and looks good, I'll at least try it. However, if it as a smell that turns my stomach I won't even think twice about trying it. lol
I'm extremely picky. example. I will not eat fried or scrambled eggs. If their any where near my food I won't eat. However, I like boiled eggs. lol I use to have an issue with onions as well, but over the past several months, I've been using them in just about everything I cook. I'm not much of a salad eater either. I don't care for none of the salad dressings. So, finding healthy foods to eat is very difficult for me. The one thing I have been trying to do.. is the normal foods I eat, I try to tweak them and make them a little bit healthier.
Any suggestions?

Do you have specific issues with foods like smell, taste, or texture? I find that smell actually puts me off most canned veggies. I do better with frozen.

People who have issues with texture often find that they can manage smoothies and juices where they can't cope with chunks or seeds.

Howdy y'all!
I'm recently new to SP. I came across this team and thought.. yay! this is right up my alley! I'm an extremely picky eater... I will not eat veggies, unless their in a can! absolutely will not eat stuff like cauliflower, Spinach, Tomatoes and so forth! I'm really at my wits end not knowing what to eat in the healthy category. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You
