Tina, one of the things I did on FB was unfollow people that I don't want their drama on my page or am just friends with because we went to school/military together. Then I unliked all the pages that were cluttering up my page with junk. So I only see a few things on my FB home page that I care about. I do spend more time on it than I should, but am working on it. I did the same with my emails, I unsubscribed to a lot of emails that I found myself not reading and just deleting. Amazon is a big time suck too, I love finding deals on things I've been wanting!! But, we are having something close to, but not quite, a no spend month, so I'm staying away except the free books on the Kindle Unlimited!!

I'm finding I spend less time on Pinterest since I have tried more of the recipes I saved on it, and they all were horrible. I look for sewing and crochet, but the other stuff I'm going to go delete boards and unfollow people, especially the food links. We made scones, and YDD was so dissappointed that they were awful, it was her first time making them and she was so excited!! I should have looked up Alton Brown first thing!!

Great questions Joyce!

I spend entirely too much time on the computer. I'd say a good 50% is Sparkpeople emails. I don't actually visit my start page very often, just following links from emails for the most part. I follow quite a few blogs and devotional pages. I have a lot of email from those, from recipe sites and from courses and things that I have signed up for. I do have some online courses I do at different times, also webinars and things like conferences that I watch. I also use Amazon and some shopping sites frequently. I don't usually get on Facebook on my computer, I only check in about once a week - it's too much of a time suck for me. I need to start setting a timer to stop mindlessly sitting here scrolling and clicking away. I have already unsubscribed to quite a few blogs and shopping site emails that just aren't really relevant to me anymore.

Our youngest (11) does not have a computer yet, but can play games and get on the internet in the entertainment room, but I try to limit her time down there, because then she apart from the rest of the family. My oldest (13) has a time limit and then the internet on her computer cuts off. All electronics are turned off at 8 PM when we start winding down for bed at 9. I've decided to head to Goodwill tomorrow, they usually have a nice selection of baskets, which I will be using to collect all smaller electronics because they have been sneaking them at night. So, the basket will go in my room, and I'll bring it back out in the morning. I have a USB hub in my room, so if anything needs to be plugged in, I can do that.

Both DH and I spend more time on the computer than we should. I use a variety of websites but find myself on SP and FB a lot as well as Pinterest and crafting/cooking sites. I am also working on bettering myself, so watching videos, taking classes, seminars, that kind of thing. But I'm working on spending more time up and moving, doing pretty good for just starting out, and getting a lot more done around the house for sure!! DH's job is computers, but then he spends a lot of his time at his computer too. Trying to change that, but it has to be his idea.

My computer time varies widely. On a day off work when I do Genealogy I might spend 16 hours at the computer. On a busily scheduled day, 20 minutes.

Discounting Genealogy; Spark People has the biggest share with what feels like 40 minutes.
and every day if I can
Facebook every 3 days about 30 minutes
email, varies

I am fairly content with my mix of computer time. Often drop a SP team if I begin to feel guilty.

I do worry about some of my younger family members...but they are adults. So....?

Do you have any idea how much time you spend on the computer each day?

What proportion is for SparkPeople?

What else has a sizable proportion of time?

Are you happy with what you are doing? There is a diagnoses of Computer/Internet Addiction.
This is easier to treat if caught early. Are you concerned about any family members?
