Welcome Tami! Great introduction. I have used PT and a knee brace to support my knees better. Losing weight is helping, too. So glad you decided to join us. I tend to be a loaner, too, but I can handle a few Spark friends. Best wishes for many good bowling trips!

Good morning,
I'm Tami. I joined Spark a couple weeks ago and am slowly getting into doing more then just tracking food. Each week I'll add something new to what I'm doing to get healthier. Small steps so I don't get overwhelmed by it all.
This week I'll be getting active in a few teams and making friends. I've learned through the years that I cant do this alone. Since I'm very much a loner that causes an issue.

I live in Belleville with my hubby and two cats. I'm a mixed media artist, wife and mom.
I love to read, plunk around online and play in my art room. Notice its all sitting down hobbies.
I LOVE windy days. They make me feel free and alive.
I'm 53 years old and I'll be glad when I get to 54 so I can finally be the age I keep saying I am. :-D

I have a 27 year old son who I go bowling with every week. I've noticed lately that my legs are shaky and getting weak. I don't know if its because of my weight or my back injury or both so I decided it was time to get busy and get stronger. I'm not going to let anything stop me from bowling with my son so here I am.

Every day or two I walk to the grocery store for fresh veggies and whatever is for dinner that night. I also bought myself a great rowing machine and an MP3 player.
I wear a Garmin Vivofit to keep track of steps. My goal at the moment is 4000 steps daily.
Any more then that my knees want to explode. Next week I'll change that to 5000.
I'm considering switching to a fitbit but still thinking about that and changing my mind every other day.

As you can see I tend to ramble.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.
