emoticon emoticon WAY2BEAUTIFUL, on your successful surgery! Wow, those are some pretty dramatic results you've achieved in such a small amount of time :) I don't know if this is true for the type of surgery you had (and I can't speak from experience here, since I didn't have surgery), but sometimes people become more intolerant of sweets after this operation - or is it the gastric bypass surgery that affects one's reaction to sugar? Banding may not... I don't know.

I think I'd be so excited about those fantastic results that I'd want to just sidestep the sweets for now. It may be that they'll have more of a comfortable place in what you eat later on - but that's just my 2 cents.

Congratulations!!

Hi Everyone,

I was banded on Dec 8/11, and since then, I've lost an amazing 12 lbs! I've been woking really hard at following the post-op diet, and I'm looking forward to the challenge that Christmas will present. I am certain I will have my smallest portion of food for Christmas, but, my downfall has always been the sweets!! YIKES!!!! Anyone else have that challenge? Any tips to help me through it??

Thanks to all, and best wishes fot the Holiday Season!!
