Welcome! No matter what the stimulus to binge, I have faith you can hold out against it! I participate nearly every day on the 21-day streak and What is my life about between meals thread. Seven years weight maintenance (actually some more loss in the last years). Hit me up with any questions.

Seven years of maintaining a 20% weightloss and counting.

Hello everyone. My name is Carolyn and I am a new member here today. I've been struggling in my weight loss journey, and have been doing a lot of binge eating. I am excited about joining this team and am determined to work harder to control my emotions and cravings, which seem to always lead to binges.

Some of my eating was emotional, but I found out that a lot of it was just food seduction and habit. (I prefer to call it that rather than addiction because people have so many concepts around addiction that can get in the way.) The eating plan I chose didn't end the problems overnight, but statistically, that's not how most compulsive eaters learn to manage their habit. I saw it as the best of many worlds. I've continued to look at stuff over the years and I'm still convinced that with where I was, nothing else would have been a better way to get me out of the hole I was in. Believing I was taking the best option helped me an uncountable number of times, even when I failed. (Am I repeating myself?) And everyone eats for emotional reasons sometimes. It on its own is not a sin.

So great to meet you. Changing eating can be hard, but it is totally possible, and what is more, it is totally worth the work.

Hi! Thought I join a team in an area that I know I need help with. Binge eating, emotional eating, yup thatís what I do. Donít want to do that anymore, so seeking out others that are going through the same thing and see how they handle this issue. I guess I have really just realized I have this issue and I am admitting it, I binge eat and emotional eat. Thank you for having me.
