Saturday I saw my son and fiance on my walk because they were home and they WANTED to take a walk! My son never walked before! Yay!

Sunday I went to my daughter's house and we walked. Saw lots of trees in bloom and the back of my grandchildren racing away on their bicycles!

Lots and lots of slot machines. I walked around in the casino. Every $10.00 I spent I walked around the whole casino. I spent $100.00 so I got a lot of walking in today. Lol emoticon emoticon I came back home with $200.00. So it was an amazing day.

We can do this.

Yesterday was so beautiful that I decided to walk into town and get a sandwich for lunch. It was a little windy so the trip back took a little less time. It felt good to take that particular walk again. Hadn't done it since fall. It's so funny when you tell someone you walked from the BP station, they look at you and go, "You did? That's a long walk!" It's only .82 of a mile one way but if they want to think I'm superwoman, fine. I'll take it!
Some yards are looking like they need mowing!

Took 3 walks yesterday and saw something different on every one of them.
Mostly what I saw was family. I walked with husband, daughter, son in law and grandkids were on bikes on first walk. # 2 , add my sister and her granddaughter and #3, my husband and I walked. Great day!

Walked my same route last night. It was beautiful out there. The birds were singing and the cows were grazing. The grass is starting to turn green. (This is a double edged sword in our business--we sell and service lawn equipment!). Looking forward to another walk on that route. It's amazing how quickly everything is changing.

Walked the same route as last week several times this week. It's amazing the difference a couple of days makes when this weather gets nicer. I noticed yesterday that I need to take a garbage bag and gloves along and clean the roadside as I'm going. So many beer cans and bottles in the ditches now that the snow has melted. emoticon

Saw a snow covered field with a flock of geese trying to find food. I think they were trying to get away from the goose hunters! Also, before we got back, we saw sleet and snow and more importantly felt them hitting our face! Looking forward to nicer weather to do more outside again!

Only walked for 30 minutes today and because it was so cold, I was trying to hurry to get back home, didn't really pay attention to my surroundings. But I do know that I saw more Christmas decorations. emoticon
I got a bike for Christmas, so I'll probably be riding more than I'm walking, from now on. emoticon

It was very quiet on my walk this morning. Saw lots of Christmas trees in the front window of a lot of houses. Everybody has their own way of decorating, but they're all so beautiful! One house had a tree with nothing but white lights on it, and there must have been more than 2000 lights on that thing! There wasn't an inch that wasn't covered. emoticon

Finally got to walk outside this morning, it was wonderful! I saw all kinds of Christmas decorations, some even lit up. I guess a lot of people leave their lights on all night. I would love to do that, but can't imagine what our electric bill would be, if I did. We have lights outlining our roof, our driveway & sidewalk, all around our windows, around the garage door and then a few decorations in the yard that light up & move. LOVE IT!!

Saturday we toured a winery in Hermann, Mo. It wasn't really a "fitness activity" but a very interesting tour and I learned a lot of interesting history. Did you know that when prohibition came in, that the government actually went in and destroyed all the equipment and burned all the grapes in the winery's? They got no compensation whatsoever. I forget how many wineries in just 2 counties in Missouri they destroyed but it was a phenomenal number.
So, anyway, I saw wine barrels and cool cellars on my "walk" Saturday.

I'm afraid I didn't notice too much on my walk today. My clip broke on my activity tracker and I put velcro on it, to stick it to my shoe. I watched my feet during my whole walk, because I was afraid it was going to fall off. emoticon

However, I did notice that a couple more houses have gone up for sale. And since we're looking for a new home, I gave them a "once over", to see if it was something I wanted to call on.

emoticon Sorry you didn't get to walk Karen! The rain was just coming in as I finished up and it's only sprinkles so far.

I saw lots of squirrels this morning scurrying around in the leaves looking for winter goodies. I also saw the kids crossing at the school crosswalk heading for school. I saw another closed store in our town because the owner died. How sad. Our small little towns are getting smaller. And I saw the hearse backing out of the funeral home garage. Not a good sign.

Hope you can all walk sometime today! emoticon

Yesterday on my emoticon I saw emoticon and trees losing their leaves, there was frost on the ground and you could hear the birds working. Also, I saw the school bus picking up kids.

This morning on my walk I noticed all the orange colored leaves on the trees. We have so many of those trees in town, and it makes the fall season so beautiful!! So many yards had their grass covered with the beautiful colors of fall, LOVE this time of year!! emoticon

This is a great idea, Linda!! I too see different things on my walks everyday. This morning I was noticing all the Halloween decorations in the yards. I don't decorate my yard, but evidently it has gotten to be a huge deal (just like Christmas). So many people have their yards very scarey and all decked out in lights. Who knew????
My favorite time of year to walk is in December, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the Christmas decorations!!!! That's the only time of year that I put decorations in my yard.

I thought it might be fun and interesting if we started a new thread. When I go for my walks, I'm constantly seeing different things and thought it would be nice to hear what others are noticing.

Yesterday morning on my walk I saw the field that had just gotten harvested last week is now plowed up and ready for winter. The sky was full of wispy, dark clouds with reds peeking through!

Your turn! emoticon
