Not sure if you all are still wanting to do this group support thing, but I noticed that KAKNJOE started a group called LOOKING FOR 10 SERIOUS WOMEN TO JOIN ME AND COMMIT. I joined and am posting stuff there. Not sure what happened to KAKNJOE...

That's a lot of money for a weight loss plan. I joined The Biggest Loser weight loss team. T
hey seem to be a very supportive group. This is a ten week challenge. When the ten weeks is up I'm sure they will have a spring challenge. If interested you could check out this challenge.
. I would be interested in this private group to hold myself accountable. Yes, this site has a lot to offer.

Just yesterday I went to an information session on a "medical" weight loss . . . $500 a month, and I realized what I really needed was the accountability of the check-in - weighing in every week, keeping a food diary, creating or sharing my food plan with someone /a group, and having the schedule of it all to hold me to some of the habits. I left there and then remembered spark people. . . and know that I don't need to spend $500 a month to loose weight!
I think this site has the tools - but I would love to see a forum that basically mimics the group accountability. . . I really hope I can join you!

I am serious and interested in joining your group - or - if there are too many replies, maybe we have 2 "related" teams of 4 women? I too want very regular accountability and check ins. I lost 110 pounds about 10 years ago, and have gained 79 of it back. I feel like I am in prison everyday - there are places I will not go because the people only knew / saw the "thin" version of me and I know that the "oh my gosh did she get fat" thoughts are only natural. . . Though I am new and a little "green" to this site, I am committed and am inviting others to hold me accountable, and I'll do the same.

Kak: I agree with Sandy & you, that a few members that are determined to lose weight & are serious might work best. I have about 100 lbs. I need to lose. I will email spark coach & ask them how to set up a private team. I am 63 yrs. old.

I'm interested. 60 years old--lost 30 pounds Oct. 2013 through May 2014. Needed to lose 30 more but unfortunately now that is 40 more because 10 more snuck up on me.

What is the team name? I think just a few of us might be a good plan. We can at least try it to see if it works! not sure how to set up a new team and make it private though...

Thank you so much for your response. I would love to pair up with you. I was thinking of four of us altogether then maybe we would be more personally committed since it wasn't so many to depend on. But then again, I'm open to suggestions as this is new to me so if bigger is better then i'm open. So far I think I'll like it. My name is Kak. I'm 53. i would love to join you too! I have lost a total of 28 lbs this year, but I have another 36 to go, at least! I do so much better if i can check in daily too. I am part of a private group on fb, but the participants don't post much. So this would be most helpful if we can encourage each other daily!

I am interested in joining you on this journey. I feel that with support I'll be able to do lose this weight & gain better health. I have asked my DH to lose weight with me but he isn't interested . I just joined the biggest loser team on spark & I know I will get a lot of support from them.

If your serious about losing your weight and you won't give up on me or yourself then I'll help you if you help me. I think if I have to check in with someone daily I know I'll succeed. I've done weight watchers in the past and unfortunately let myself gain in all back. I don't want to sign up for WW again though if I can have the same motivation from the convenience of my computer and iphone and a good friend. I figure a circle of 4 of will work great. So I'm 1 and my hand is extended for 3 more woman. I'm very motivated and committed. I hate that I'm fat again. Or should I say fastest again because I've always struggled with my weight. But I know for sure, it works for me when I have a support system and we're fighting this together. I want to be on the other side of the journey someday soon and say I lost it and this is how i did it. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Then we can start are own private group. Thanks. Kak
