My name is Jennifer, I'm from Indiana, I'm 41 years old/young, widowed with two 'kids'. My oldest is 22 and just got married this past weekend so I guess I can't call him a kid anymore. But my youngest is 10 and still home with me. I'm in a serious relationship and my boyfriend has two boys and joint custody(and we live together now) so I will count them also. ;) I attend ww meetings and do a lot online also. I LOVE the app with barcode scanner. I miss how there is no longer a personal blog area on the ww site so I'm finally back here on spark, for that feature and to connect to more ww members for support and friendship. I follow a lot of weight watchers on instagram also and thats a huge inspiration to me, especially for low SP products and meal ideas. Just trying to connect in as many ways as possible so I cannot make excuses and it helps me to get back on track when things get tough. My boyfriend is very supportive and that is super helpful. He has kind of bad IBS and so he can't eat a lot of things that are high points anyway, so that is helpful. We have a lot of junk for the kids(mainly just quick things like nuggets and pizza rolls) because of sports and needing to get food into them as quick as possible, but I keep them in the downstairs fridge/freezer so it doesn't even bother me. I don't work and have been working on a degree in Library and also Business Administration, but I took a couple semesters off because of stress and just learning how to deal with life without my husband. He passed away suddenly almost 2 years ago(2 years in January). He was our world and is greatly missed. Life is starting to find it's new 'normal' but It's not been an easy journey and still isn't at times. But, I did lose weight. 19 pounds from where I was when he passed. I had lost a bit more than that but gained some back. But, I"m back to losing again. I had lost 7 since I joined ww meetings(like 6 weeks ago I think) but I had a 3 pound gain this past weigh in. which, is bogus. For some reason my body always decides to retain water on that particular day. But it will be gone by the next weigh in so I"m not even worried about it. Just put me into a funk for a day or two. But. motivated me also. I love my meeting this time around. In the past I hated the meetings. Nobody was ever friendly or inclusive. This meeting has a totally different vibe and I love the leader. I even love how they have the chairs set up, in a circle. So, nobody can be excluded. I've been stepping out of my comfort zone and speaking up, most weeks. I know that is what I need to do to get to know people in my meeting and bond. Its not always easy fo rme(especially on a bad day/anxiety) but I'm still proud of myself for speaking up and sharing when I am able to. Well, I am going to go do a blog. I look forward to getting to know everybody! Have a great Friday!
